Previously, she was Economics and Real Estate Correspondent at The Times of London and before that a senior press officer at the U.K. Finance Ministry. She began her career as an economics reporter at The Guardian in London. Originally from Wales, Hopkins holds a bachelors in French, Russian and European studies from the University of Bath and a masters in journalism from Goldsmiths, University of London.
