The end of the world is pretty close, according to Federico Curradi. But what will remain when humans have completely destroyed the environment? That’s the question the designer tried to answer with the debut collection for his namesake brand.
“Everything here is made by hand using only eco-friendly materials,” he said, demonstrating that being environmentally conscious doesn’t mean renouncing luxury. Infused with a slight Seventies’ vibe, the collection, which felt modern, communicated a sense of effortless charm. The relaxed silhouettes were enhanced by the use of fabrics with a cozy and comfortable feel. Roomy pants were worked in soft corduroy, while Curradi used high-end cashmere and silk blends for fluid shirts with raw edges, as well as mohair for sweaters with graphic motifs. Outerwear came in the shape of slouchy yet chic robe coats and sporty parkas.
