Rita Ora arrived on the red carpet for the 2023 amfAR Gala in Venice on Sunday, in a sheer caftan-style dress with a cascading train and an asymmetrical white flower accent designed by Stephane Rolland. Underneath the dress, she wore a nude bodysuit accessorized with a crystal belt. Ora accessorized her look with a diamond multi-wrap necklace and diamond rings from Damiani.

The sheer trend began sweeping the runways and red carpets in 2022 and has come into full effect this year. During New York Fashion Week in February, multiple celebrities, from Ashley Graham to Lori Harvey, donned sheer looks to sit front row at fashion shows.

The sheer trend also dominated the red carpet at the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscars Party. Ciara made headlines when she arrived at the party in a sheer black gown designed by Dundas.

This isn’t Ora’s first time going for the sheer look this month. On Thursday, the singer attended the DVF Awards during the Venice Film Festival, donning an all-black look that featured a sheer neckline. At Alaïa’s spring 2024 show in Paris, Ora also wore a sheer high-neck maxidress with floral details from the brand. She accessorized the look with blue velvet open-toe platforms.
The 2023 amfAR Gala in Venice was presented by Mastercard and Red Sea International Film Festival. The annual event raises money to help support AIDS research, HIV prevention, treatment education and advocacy. The event included performances from Ora and fellow singer Leona Lewis. This year’s event raised $2 million for the cause.
