Woman killed in Brampton crash involving car and transport truck

A woman is dead following an early morning crash in Brampton.
Peel police say they were called to the intersection of Highway 50 where it meets Coleraine Drive and Major Mackenzie Drive just after 6:30 a.m. Monday.
The crash involved a car and a transport truck.
Paramedics say one woman was assessed at the scene but not transported to hospital. The driver of the truck was not injured.
Police later confirmed the driver of the vehicle, a woman in her 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are continuing to piece together the circumstances that led up to the crash but say the truck was travelling southbound on Highway 50 and was making a left-hand turn onto Major Mackenzie Drive when it was struck by the car.
