There are those who are thrilled that Monty Python are reuniting for a series of live shows in London this summer, and then there are those who are devastated that they won’t be able to see it for themselves. But there’s good news for those who fall into the latter group, as the comedy troupe are reissuing their 1989 comedy album, now called Monty Python Sings (Again), on June 9, with three previously unreleased bonus songs — including the track “Lousy Song.”
On Tuesday, Monty Python released a teaser video for the song, which was originally recorded during sessions for the group’s Contractual Obligation Album in 1980. “Lousy Song” was conceived and performed by Eric Idle and the late Graham Chapman, who died in 1983. The video, above, proves just how lousy the track really is.
