Tina Fey reprised her role as Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live to spoof the former governor of Alaska’s endorsement of Donald Trump.
The actress returned to the show Saturday to reenact last week’s presidential endorsement in Iowa, borrowing some of Palin’s actual lines from the high-profile event, including “media heads are spinning.”
“We’ve seen our own children targeted by the police for no reason other than they committed some crimes,” Fey said, impersonating Palin whose son was recently arrested in a domestic disturbance. “We turn on the news every morning and are shocked to see we’re not even on it, because we’ve been replaced by immigrants like Geraldo Rivera.”
Saturday Night Live actor Darrell Hammond, playing Trump, called Palin a “firecracker.” “She’s a real pistol,” he said. “She’s crazy, isn’t she?”
At the end of her speech, “Palin” admits she really doesn’t think Trump should be president. “I’m just here ‘cause he’s promised me a spot in his cabinet,” she said. “And I belong in a cabinet ’cause I’m full of spice and I’ve got a great rack.”
