Denim PV to Spotlight Sustainable Exhibitors

Denim PV returns to Superstudio Più in Milan June 5-6.

The show is the first to feature Premiere Vision’s “A Better Way” initiative, which promotes exhibitors’ efforts and investments in sustainable manufacturing and how they’re aligning with evolving environmental regulations. The program aims to assist brands with their sourcing by promoting exhibitors’ better practices.

The initiative has been developed with the help of several independent experts and considers a system of questionnaires submitted to exhibitors, Premiere Vision stated. It also factors international certifications, labels and program like GOTS, FSC and Oeko-Tex Standard 100. A total of 5 criteria distinguishes the participating exhibitors: social initiatives, impact of production sites, traceability, product composition and processes, sustainability, and end-of-life of the finished product.

The show will welcome about 90 exhibitors from 19 countries. Approximately 62 percent are denim spinners and weavers, followed by garment makers, promotional services and technologies and accessory and component manufacturers.

Lorenza Martello, Première Vision’s denim expert, will discuss how Fall/Winter 25-26 denim collections “seek a balance between low-key volumes and spectacular embellishments, between moderate textures and opulent shapes” during two trend seminars.

The Fashion Forum will highlight many of these fabric trends, as well as Project Tomorrow, collaborative collection of 20 denim garments made in by students from two Milanese fashion design schools, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA) and Istituto Europeo di Design (IED). Patternmaker Alessio Berto worked with the students to develop the collection, which addresses how to overcome common production challenges through creativity. Japan Blue, Orta, Kuroki and other mills donated the fabrics to the project.
