Allan John Melvin (February 18, 1923 – January 17, 2008) was an American actor, voice actor and impressionist. He is best known as the original voice of Hanna-Barbera character Magilla Gorilla, and provided the voice of Bluto for two Hanna-Barbera Popeye animated series: The All-New Popeye Hour and Popeye and Son. In the latter, he also voiced J. Wellington Wimpy.
