Been using the premium version for years and love the depth of customizability and accessibility. However, the new image insertion UI change has GOT to go. As a physically disabed person, I find it difficult to hit the new selection button accurately, and often end up having to do multiple taps per image to get it to attach, when previously I could just tap one anywhere in the thumbnail. Those extra taps really add up when your hands are in constant pain. Food for thought, love the app otherwise

Decent app... Ive used this over stock apps and other texting apps for quite a while.. Through 3 or 4 different phones and I like most of the features... However, the new update made adding pictures to a text so insanely ridiculous. It IS nice to be able to preview the whole picture before you send it vs just going off a small thumbnail, but then I have to select it, hit the back button, hit choose, then send. Why can't I just choose from the preview??

Thanks for your feedback Ryan, you do not need to go back at all. Long hold on any picture to see in full-screen mode > select > choose (n) > selected picture(s) populates in the send message field. Please email [email protected] for further guidance if needed.

6/22/2024: -tap to open pics thing is annoying cause choose button is small, can't always be seen -designate where pics autosave. -And don't make me pick my browser EVERY SINGLE TIME. JUST OPEN. Worst change made over the years. 2019: I have been consistently pleased with this gorgeous, well-behaved app. Developers have always been very responsive, and even with consistent updates, the app has always remained the same, outside of Google-mandated changes. Thank you for a great app!

✔ Improved media selection controls in the + panel, which now allows tapping a thumbnail to view full screen (image, GIF or video) and allows selection and swiping through gallery in this mode.
✔ Updated and improved video playing controls in Textra when viewing a video in the + panel, message bubble or in the Media screen).
✔ Improved CCPA Consent Compliance.
✔ Bug fixes.
Note: The minimum API for Textra is now API 25 (Android 7.1).
