Gayle King Shares Clip of Son’s Romantic Wedding Dance: ‘Took Things to Another Level’

Gayle King is still in celebration mode after her son's recent wedding! 

On Tuesday, June 25, the CBS News journalist, 69, shared a video on Instagram of her son William "Will" Bumpus Jr. dancing with his now-wife Elise Smith at their wedding earlier this month. 

King revealed in the post that Grammy Award-winner Miguel performed at the ceremony.

"WE love loves @miguel," she wrote in the caption. "And when he agreed to sing @willgb3 and @elisemariesmith’s favorite songs it took things to another level! Thanks Miguel!"

The video showed Miguel performing his hit songs "Adorn" and "Sure Thing" on a stage while the newlyweds shared a sweet dance. The two swayed around the dance floor while mouthing the lyrics to each other. At the end of the clip, they share a kiss and Smith tells Bumpus, "I love you."

Before sharing her son and new daughter-in-law on the dance floor, King posted another heartfelt message to the couple, writing, "The @willgb3 & @elisemariesmith wedding celebration continues! They called it WE LOVE cause of their initials and their love."

Her post included a carousel of photos and videos showing Bumpus and Smith posed in front of a large floral arrangement, a video of the couple being welcomed by their guests and King posing for a selfie with actor David Oyelowo and his wife Jessica Oyelowo. 

The couple tied the knot on June 2 at longtime family friend Oprah Winfrey's house. 

King spoke of the special occasion on CBS Mornings and shared that her "favorite part" of the wedding was the exchange of vows. "They both wrote their own vows and at one point, Will said, 'I know the man I am, but with you, I know the man I want to be.' "

King shares Bumpus with her ex-husband Bill Bumpus, along with daughter Kirby Bumpus.
