Plans for Sonja Morgan’s Tipsy Girl continue to be a bit woozy.
Late last year, the liquor brand was unable to open a planned Greenwich Village eatery and instead headed for Hartford, Conn.
With the new season of “Real Housewives of New York City” debuting, there’s been buzz Morgan and her Tipsy Girl partner Peter Guimaraes have fallen out.
Insiders told us restaurateur Guimaraes was disappointed with the level of promotion Morgan was expected to do on her Bravo show.
When reached for comment, Guimaraes told us, “Although I’m not at liberty to discuss Sonja . . . all I can say is that partnerships are like relationships, and they do come with trying times.”
But Sonja, who also has other lines, said of the partnership: “We are good. He was at the premiere party with me . . . All my partners would love me to highlight our mutual brands as much as possible, however the feedback I get from viewers is, ‘I’m real.’ They are watching to see our lives not home shopping. Having said that, they love our clothes, makeup, hair and drinks of choice! Just everything a ‘Housewife’ does.”
