After spending the 2023 preseason with the New York Jets, the HBO “Hard Knocks” crew is heading back to Jersey for “Hard Knocks: Offseason with the New York Giants,” which premieres tonight, July 2.
The premiere marks a few firsts for the long-running NFL documentary series; after starting an in-season edition during the 2021 season, “Hard Knocks,” which traditionally is filmed and aired during the preseason, will follow a team during the offseason for the first time. “Hard Knocks: Offseason with the New York Giants” is also the New York Giants’ first time being featured on any iteration of the show.
The new offseason edition of “Hard Knocks” will follow members of the New York Giants front office, including general manager Joe Schoen, as they gear up for the Giants’ landmark 100th NFL season. Filmed between January 2024 and July 2024, the series will give fans an in-depth look at building an NFL roster, from free agency and the scouting combine, to the NFL Draft, to various mini-camps.
