House GOP campaign arm gifts ‘Squad’ Rep. Jamaal Bowman farewell package, suggests new job as ‘fire inspector’

They have some lovely parting gifts for him.

House Republican campaign operatives trolled far-left Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) Wednesday following his primary defeat by Westchester County Executive George Latimer, delivering an unemployment package to Bowman’s congressional office.

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) roasted the Bronx and Westchester Democrat by sending along some presents that referenced Bowman pleading guilty to falsely pulling a fire alarm last year to delay a House vote.

The gifts included a photo of Bowman, 48, decked out in full firefighter gear, along with a form touting an open position for “fire inspector.”

The unemployment application listed the gig as paying $28.25 per hour — which works out to a shade under $60,000 per year before taxes — and included a workplace reference from House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), who endorsed Bowman and phoned in a last-minute robocall on his behalf.

“In case of firing, file for unemployment,” read a photo of a fire alarm included in the severance package.

The “Squad” member was made redundant in the race for New York’s 16th Congressional District, with Latimer defeating him by nearly 17 percentage points.

“Despite Hakeem Jeffries being all in to help Jamaal Bowman, last night’s 17-point blowout election loss should be a serious red flag for extreme House Democrats and their lurch toward Antisemitism and defunding the police,” NRCC rapid response director Macy Gardner said in a statement.

“While a new career as a firefighter might not be in the cards for Bowman, an unemployment application is — we wish him all the best of luck and good riddance.”

An aide in Bowman’s office, which did not immediately respond to a request for comment, was later seen throwing the NRCC’s golden parachute opportunity in the trash, according to a video shared with The Post.

He declined to comment on the primary loss — and later accused a Post photographer of posing a “security issue” by appearing on his doorstep.

The congressman would know, since he was caught on CCTV footage on Sept. 30 last year pulling down two emergency exit signs from the doors before pulling a fire alarm — and then running away.

The alarm forced the evacuation of the Cannon House Office Building for an hour and a half — and delayed a House vote to avert a partial government shutdown.

Bowman said he “thought the alarm would open the door” and pulled it by “accident,” adding that he “was just trying to get to my vote and the door that’s usually open wasn’t open, it was closed.”

But a Capitol Police investigator who looked into the incident testified that he observed the Democratic socialist “jogging” down a staircase after tripping the alarm and then “walking at a normal pace” when exiting onto New Jersey Avenue to head for the US Capitol.

He later passed at least seven other police officers without telling them about his “accident,” the investigator noted.

A member of the House Ethics Committee, Rep. Dave Joyce (R-Ohio), later said he “was shocked and disappointed” that a majority of the members on the panel “did not agree to pursue any additional action or investigation.”

“As a former Middle School Principal and sitting Member of Congress, there is no excuse for this kind of behavior,” he said in a statement.

Bowman also has a history of blogging as a middle school principal about 9/11 conspiracy theories, including claiming that Osama bin Laden was wrongly “blamed” for the terror attack and that World Trade Center building Number 7 was destroyed in a controlled demolition.

Last week, the congressman also belatedly apologized for claiming that initial reports of rape and child murder during Hamas’ Oct. 7 massacre in Israel were a “lie.”
