NFL star Xavien Howard shared ‘revenge porn’ photos, videos with victim’s minor son: lawsuit

Former Miami Dolphins star Xavien Howard allegedly shared explicit photos and videos of women, even texting the sexual images of one victim to her son because she refused to get an abortion, according to a lawsuit.

The two victims, identified as Jane and John Doe, filed the lawsuit in Broward County, Fla., in May, alleging Howard, 30, released the explicit content to “humiliate them and cause emotional distress,” court documents obtained by Local 10 News said.

According to the report, Howard started seeing Jane Doe in 2016 and began an exclusive relationship with her in early 2022, but ended their involvement months later in July.

Upon ending their relationship, Jane Doe received an Instagram message in September 2022 “from a third-party female, claiming she had several sexually explicit videos” that Howard allegedly sent of “him having sex with various women.”

According to the documents, the woman told Jane Doe she believed she was one of the women in the videos and sent them to her, to which Jane Doe “directly identified herself” in some of the videos.

She then contacted Howard to find out why he shared them, and he told her that he shared the videos to “make her mad because she did not want to have sex with him,” the court documents alleged.

The victim’s attorneys say they sent the former Miami Dolphin a cease-and-desist letter in October 2022, but Howard allegedly kept releasing the content without her permission.

In April 2023, Jane Doe was contacted by another woman, who sent her “several other sexually explicit photographs and videos” of naked women that Howard had recently shared with her, with her being one of the women the photos, the court documents alleged.

Jane Doe accused the four-time Pro Bowl player of filming and taking photos of her while she was engaging in sex acts with him without her knowledge.

She admits that she was “sexually involved” with Howard, “but once she spurned his advances, Howard circulated sexually explicit videos of her—without her consent— to the public,” according to the lawsuit.

John Doe — a minor at the time and the other plaintiff in the lawsuit — claimed Howard went on a “warpath” against his mother and sent him disturbing content involving her while they were dating in 2022.

“John Doe is the son of another woman (hereinafter referred to as “Mother”) Howard became sexually involved with, who after impregnating her, demanding that she have an abortion, and her refusing, went on a warpath against her,” according to the lawsuit shared by the outlet.

“Among other forms of revenge to Mother, and most notable, Howard texted sexually explicit material of Mother engaged in an explicit sex act with Howard to John Doe, who was a minor at the time.”

As a result of the former cornerback’s “vile act,” John Doe and his mother suffered “significant emotional distress,” the documents stated.

The suit claimed that Howard’s sharing of the content without their consent was an invasion of their privacy and left them feeling like they were being sexually cyber-harassed.

Sexual cyberharassment — also known as “revenge porn” — has been illegal in Florida since 2015 and is considered the nonconsensual distribution of sexually explicit images or videos of another person with the intent of causing the victim emotional distress, according to state law.

Neither victim has pursued criminal charges against Howard, according to the outlet.

However, Jane Doe is seeking judgment for damages over $50,000, according to the documents obtained by Local 10 News.

The suit also claims that Jane Doe will “suffer significant losses” due to the videos being made public.

He was the longest-tenured Dolphin before his release in February.

He still had three years remaining on his five-year, $90 million contract at his release and is currently a free agent.

Howard was also sued in 2022 for allegedly passing on a sexually transmitted disease to a woman, according to The Miami Herald.
