Man killed by alleged drunk driver after minor fender-bender in NYC

An alleged drunken driver barreled into a police cruiser on the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn early Monday, killing a 35-year-old motorist who was standing on the side of the road after a fender-bender, police said.

The struck man fell to his death over a roadway median, cops said.

The fatal incident happened around 1:15 a.m. after cops responded to an accident near Exit 15 in East New York where the 35-year-old man in a BMW i8 rear-ended a Honda Pilot in the left lane heading west, according to police.

The BMW driver got out of his vehicle and was standing next to the guardrail when a 2019 Nissan Rogue crashed into the police cruiser, which had its lights on and was parked behind the pair of cars involved in the minor accident, cops said.

The Rogue continued on, sending the man over the median and into the eastbound lane of traffic, police said.

The man, identified as Peter Tse, died at the scene, cops said.

The driver of the Nissan, 35-year-old Audrey Edmond, was charged with manslaughter, driving while intoxicated and speeding, police said.

The 55-year-old woman who was driving the Honda was uninjured, police said.
