Fantasy football: Players to start, sit for NFL Week 6

The Post’s Drew Loftis evaluates all the relevant fantasy football news for Week 6 of the NFL season.

Big Weeks

Kyler Murray QB, Cardinals, vs. Falcons (FanDuel $7,700/DraftKings $6,500)

Atlanta is allowing the second-most fantasy points to opposing QBs, 7.4 points above the league average per week. On the flip side, the Falcons’ run defense is much better, allowing 3.1 fewer per week than the league average (the seventh stingiest).

Kyle Allen QB, Panthers, vs. Buccaneers (not included on daily slates)

The Bucs’ run defense has been stellar, but the pass D ranks as the worst in the league — giving up 323.6 passing yards per game, more than 27 yards more than any other pass defense. They also have been susceptible to big plays (third-most 20-plus-yard passing plays, tied for fifth-most 40-plus plays). Early London contest is only available on single-game slates in daily.

Ronald Jones RB, Buccaneers, vs. Panthers (not included on daily slates)

Over the past three weeks, Jones has 42 carries to backfield mate Peyton Barber’s 30. And Jones has been much better, averaging 4.4 per carry to Barber’s 3.3. The Panthers give up more than 130 rushing yards per game.

Michael Gallup WR, Cowboys, at Jets (FD $6,100/DK $5,600)

Has gotten at least seven targets in every game he has played this season, including 14 last week. Should be able to beat anyone who lines up against him in the Jets’ secondary.

Small Weaks

Jared Goff QB, Rams, vs. 49ers (FD $7,600/DK $6,100)

The only team that has been tougher than the Niners on opposing fantasy QBs is New England. Goff hasn’t been a model of consistency, and likely will drag Robert Woods and Brandin Cooks down with him in this harsh matchup.

Leonard Fournette RB, Jaguars, vs. Saints (FD $7,300/DK $6,700)

After a rough opening game, the Saints have allowed just 90.5 total rushing yards per game the past four weeks. Outside of his 225-yard explosion in Week 4, Fournette has averaged just 71.7 yards per game and has just one TD.

Jordan Howard RB, Eagles, at Vikings (FD $6,200/DK $4,900)

The Vikings are the fourth-toughest defense against opposing fantasy RBs. They have allowed just one rushing TD by an RB all season. Howard still has to deal with almost even split with Miles Sanders.

Jason Witten TE, Cowboys, at Jets (FD $5,000/DK $3,900)

Hasn’t scored since Week 2, and hasn’t hit double-digit fantasy points since then either. The Jets haven’t done much well, but they hold opposing tight ends to 3.5 fantasy points fewer than the league average per week.
