Florida man accused of battery after throwing cookie

That’s a crummy way to land in jail.

A Florida man was brought to jail after he allegedly threw a cookie Sunday at his girlfriend at their home in Pasco County, news station WFLA reported.

Wade Smith, 41, faces charges for domestic battery in connection to the pastry incident in Zephyrhills.

Authorities were called to their home after Smith’s girlfriend claimed he hurled a hard piece of cookie at her forehead. Officers arrived to find the girlfriend had a red mark near her hairline.

Smith allegedly admitted to officers he threw the cookie without his girlfriend’s consent.

He was booked into Pasco County jail, where he remained in custody Monday, according to court records.
