Martha Stewart’s daughter is selling her palatial pad for $53M

The daughter of America’s domestic queen Martha Stewart, Alexis, is listing her sprawling Manhattan apartment for $53 million.

The news was first reported by the Wall Street Journal.

Alexis, 53, a former SiriusXM host who also appeared on “The Apprentice” in the mid-2000s, is looking for a new place with more outdoor space. Stewart has two kids, Truman and Jude, and a dog — an English Staffordshire terrier, Baby Blue.

The triplex pad is a combination of four units at the glassy, Richard Meier-designed 165 Charles St. in the West Village. Alexis amassed the residences from 2006 to 2007 for some $35 million.

When Alexis bought the units, speculation spread that her mother, now 77, helped bankroll the purchases. “Alexis earns her own money yakking it up on Sirius Satellite Radio … we find it impossible to believe she’s pulling down enough paper to acquire $35,000,000 in real estate in one fell swoop,” wrote Mark David on his now-defunct site Real Estalker in 2007.

Either way, the final result is indeed sweet: a 9,500-square-foot home with six bedrooms and an additional 600 square feet of outdoor space. Other perks include views of the Hudson River, the World Trade Center and Midtown. Of particular note is the kitchen’s walk-in refrigerator. The master suite, meanwhile, spans the whole second floor and includes a gym.

A 2012 photo tour of the apartment on Martha’s own site shows an understated office and bedroom as well as elegant-yet-playful kids’ spaces.

“They’ll probably look for something else in the Village with a yard,” listing agent Richard Ziegelasch, of Brown Harris Stevens, told the Journal.
