Luka Doncic’s mom gets Twitter shoutout from Warriors player

Luka Doncic wasn’t the only member of his family trending on social media during Thursday’s NBA draft.

Doncic, 19, was selected third overall by the Atlanta Hawks and the Slovenian’s rights were traded to the Mavericks for Oklahoma product Trae Young and a projected first-round 2019 pick. Taking to Twitter, Warriors guard Andre Iguodala weighed in on the action, specifically, Doncic’s mom.

“Moms decent!!!” Iguodala tweeted to his 1.3 million followers.

Doncic’s No. 1 fan, Mirjam Poterbin, regularly gushes about her 19-year-old son on social media, calling him her “champion.” She also posted a selfie from Barclays Center on Thursday night.

“Draft2018 #soproud,” Poterbin wrote.

The 6-foot-7 point guard led Real Madrid to the ACB title in Spain last week, and was named this year’s EuroLeague MVP.
