Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have sung the swan song on their marriage.
The stars have split up after seven years, according to a blockbuster statement they released yesterday.
“We have decided to end our marriage,” they said. “This was a very difficult decision. We have come to amicable conclusions on all matters.”
The couple long tried to quell talk of trouble and seemed to put the rumors to rest on May 25 with a sultry performance together on the finale of “American Idol,” where she is a judge.
But tongues started wagging Saturday, when J.Lo, 41, appeared without Anthony, 42, at a BAFTA Brits to Watch gala for Prince William and Kate Middleton, Us Magazine reported.
The acting/singing stars were married in June 2004 in a ceremony at her Beverly Hills home. They have a set of 3-year-old twins, Max and Emme.
It was the third marriage for Lopez, who had been hitched to restaurateur Ojani Noa and backup dancer Cris Judd.
But it was two other failed romances — to Sean “Diddy” Combs and Ben Affleck — that made her the biggest headlines.
Anthony, meanwhile, has two sons with his first wife, Torres.
J.Lo is reported to have a net worth of over $150 million, while Anthony reportedly has $40 million.
