Brooklyn DA drops charges against pizzamaker and street hood

Any way you slice it, they’re both getting off.

The Brooklyn DA dropped charges today against famed Brooklyn pizzamaker Mark Iacono and mob-linked ex-con Benny Geritano, who was busted for allegedly trying to slice up the celebrity restaurateur in a street fight over a woman.

When both men refused to testify before the grand jury, the DA’s office had no choice ask for the case to be dismissed.

Both Iacono and Geritano had been charged with attempted murder after the fight this past April.

Iacono, 44, owns the renowned Lucali pizzeria in Carroll Gardens. Geritano was a member of the infamous “Night Drop Crew,” a Mafia-linked gang that specialized in bank burglaries and operated from 1993 to 2003.

Geritano served his 71 months in prison for the bank jobs but was also sentenced to three years’ probation.

After his street fight, feds put Geritano, 38, back behind bars for violating probation.
