Dead woman’s body found stuffed in a suitcase on Harlem street

The body of a woman was found early today stuffed in a suitcase that was dumped on a Harlem street, police said.

The body was found by a woman at 12:15 a.m. on East 114th Street and Second Avenue near the famous Italian restaurant Rao’s.

The passerby spotted a leg sticking out of the luggage and called cops. There was also a pool of blood on the sidewalk near where the suitcase was found.

The NYPD has not released the woman’s identity.

Police said the victim had her clothes on and is believed to be a black female in her mid-20s to mid-30s.

The cause of death remains to be determined. There have been no arrests made at this time.
