Piers Morgan, the British “America’s Got Talent” judge who is replacing Larry King, is embroiled in his first public feud — a month before he even starts.
Madonna is “so boring,” Morgan told a British newspaper last week. He also said he doesn’t want her on his new show.
“She is too vegan for TV,” he said. “We have Lady Gaga now so Madonna is banned from my show.”
The pop star, recently named to Time Magazine’s list of the 25 most powerful women of the last century, wasn’t going to let the snub pass.
“Madonna doesn’t know who Piers Morgan is,” her publicist told the Web site popeater.con. “but she’s a big fan of Lady Gaga.”
The singer has lived in London for most of the last decade — so it’s unlikely that Madonna doesn’t know who the famously combative Morgan is.
But the talent-show judge is just drumming up publicity for his CNN debut, set for mid January.
