An LA-bound American Airlines flight from New York was diverted to Albuquerque yesterday after passengers smelled smoke.
An Albuquerque airport spokesman said the FBI was questioning a passenger.
“Apparently he had some matches on him that were struck,” said airport spokesman Daniel Jiron.
