The Post’s Dan Martin tracks yesterday’s best Olympic performances by Rangers, Devils and Islanders:
PATRIK ELIAS Czech Republic
Helped seal the Czechs’ 5-2 win over Latvia last night with a shorthanded empty-netter after an assist earlier in the match.
MARIAN GABORIK Slovakia
The Rangers forward had six shots but didn’t score in Slovakia’s 2-1 shootout win over Russia late Thursday as he continues to recover from last week’s practice crash with Henrik Lundqvist, who was given yesterday off as Sweden beat Belarus.
ILYA KOVALCHUK Russia
Had only one shot (and no points) in the loss to the Slovaks, but he was on the ice for 20:18, more than any other Russian forward — including Alex Ovechkin and Evgeni Malkin.
