2ND FDNY POT ARREST

A second New York City firefighter was hauled into court yesterday for running a major pot operation out of a Queens basement, officials said.

Matthew Cody, a six-year FDNY veteran, was busted a month after the feds nabbed fellow firefighter Patrick Murray, 34, and seized 100 pot plants worth more than a half-million dollars, sources said.

Prosecutors unsealed a new indictment charging Murray, Cody and Cody’s brother, Michael, with four counts of manufacturing marijuana, conspiracy, endangering human life and running a drug operation within 1,000 feet of a school.

At the time of Murray’s arrest, investigators raided the basement of the Queens Village house owned by Matthew.

When they weren’t peddling pot, Matthew and Murray worked at Engine Co. 292 in Woodside, according to an FDNY spokesman.

Matthew was arrested late Wednesday night.

Matthew, 27, and Michael, 25, both pleaded not guilty at an arraignment in Brooklyn federal court yesterday.
