Ronaldo is back with a brace

The Phenomenon is back!

Ronaldo _ the 2002 World Cup champ original Ronaldo, not CR7 over in Manchester _ scored a brace in to lift Corinthians to a 2-2 draw with Ponte Preta in the Paulista championship yesterday.

He’d missed a whole year after knee surgery. This was his fifth appearance and the first time he went the full 90 since his return. Ronaldo scored his first from the penalty spot, and for an encore he collecting a cross in the box, neatly juked the defender and put in a nice left-footed finish. It was his fourth tally since the comeback for Corinthians, who are in second place and headed for a semifinal spot.

The question is, where is Ronaldo headed? Now that he seems to have revived his career and proved he can get back on the field and finish _ if not run _ do you think he’ll stay at Corinthians? Figure he’ll try to get back to Serie A or la Liga? Can you even see an MLS team looking to make a splash throwing serious coin at him?

He was heavily linked with the Red Bulls BEFORE the injury. Would you want to see him in New York? The Illadelphia? Sounds right up the Galaxy’s alley to replace Becks next year? Holla at us….
