Report: Johnson likely inactive

The Kansas City Star reports on the Larry Johnson situation, which may keep the Chiefs running back out of Sunday’s game against the Jets.

KC coach Herman Edwards hasn’t said if Johnson will play, but ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports “NFL sources [said] if the league fails to suspend Johnson before Sunday, it is likely the Chiefs will again make him inactive.”

The report contains allegations that Johnson spit a drink at a woman and threatened her boyfriend.

Police and the NFL are conducting investigations. Johnson could be suspended by the league for violating its personal conduct policy.
