‘SICK’ OVERTIME SCAM: CITY

A social worker for the city’s Department of Juvenile Justice was arrested for allegedly using fake doctor notes to get more than $3,000 worth of extra sick-day pay, officials said yesterday.

Jawhar Jordan, 34, of Brooklyn, was nabbed by the Department of Investigation after personnel at the DJJ saw that notes he submitted appeared to be forged.

An investigation determined that Jordan handed in a total of 15 fake notes between July 2004 and December 2005 so he could get overtime pay for 26 days, totaling $3,399.

Jordan has been charged with multiple counts of forgery and faces up to four years in prison, officials said.
