QUEENS GIRLS IN ‘BRUTAL’ HIT-RUN

A heartless hit-and-run driver mowed down two young girls in Queens yesterday afternoon as they walked home from school, cops said.

The unidentified girls, 6 and 7, were on their way home from PS 131 in Jamaica – accompanied by one child’s older brother – just after 4 p.m. when they stepped into 84th Avenue near 168th Place and were struck by a tan or brown car that sped off.

“It’s like nothing happened,” said witness Dino Villanueva, 39.

“He just sped away. It was brutal.”

The girls were sent flying by the impact, as the 13-year-old brother watched in horror.

One of the girls was pinned under a car across the street.

Villanueva and another neighbor lifted the car and pulled her out.

“She was crying and I told her, ‘You’ll be all right. Just don’t move,’ ” he said.

Both girls are in stable condition at Long Island Jewish Hospital with broken limbs.
