Brooklyn

* A Bedford-Stuyvesant man was found murdered in an elevator, police sources said yesterday.

Jason Jackson, 27, was waiting for the elevator car on the eighth-floor of the Tompkins Houses at 85 Tompkins Ave. where he lived with his girlfriend, sources said.

Suddenly, an unidentified suspect confronted Jackson and fired six 9mm bullets at him.

The assailant then squeezed off a final shot as Jackson, wounded in the head and chest, staggered inside the elevator car, the sources said.

Police found Jackson slumped in the car on the first floor.

Sources said they do not believe robbery was the motive, nor do they think it involved a domestic dispute.

* A woman was found dead in a Fort Greene apartment, cops said yesterday.

The body of the woman, in her 50s, was discovered in the Cumberland Walk apartment at 6:50 p.m. Monday after she drank alcohol with two men.

Police sources said the body showed bruising, which may have been caused by liver damage.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

Police did release the name of the woman pending family notification.

Queens

* Two men were shot during a drive-by shooting on a Jamaica street corner, police said yesterday.

The victims, ages 20 and 23, were standing at South Road and Sutphin Boulevard at 8 p.m. Monday when a vehicle pulled up and a gunman opened fire from inside, cops said.

The 20-year-old was shot in the legs and taken to Mary Immaculate Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

The other victim, hit in the right foot, was also in stable condition at Mary Immaculate.

The shooter, whose motive was not known, sped away.

* Two ski-masked robbers made off with thousands of dollars after sticking up a worker in an Astoria grocery, police said yesterday.

The thieves, one of them brandishing a gun, barged into the Five Star Grocery at Ditmars Boulevard and 31st Street at 7 p.m. Monday, cops said.

The pair demanded money from the 47-year- old worker, took $3,000 and cartons of cigarettes, then then fled into a cab.

No injuries were reported.

The Bronx

* A 15-year-old boy was mugged by two assailants in a Mott Haven subway station, police sources said yesterday.

The teen was accosted by the two male suspects on the platform of the No. 5 line at Third Avenue and East 149th Street at 4:15 p.m. Monday.

One of the thugs, who is acquainted with the teen, grabbed him from behind, put him in a chokehold and snatched $138 from his pocket.

The other suspect punched and kicked the teen and then fled with his cohort.

* A man was hospitalized after he was shot on an Edenwald street, police sources said yesterday.

The 24-year-old victim was strolling with a friend opposite 1130 E. 226th St. at 8:25 p.m. Monday when a gunman opened fire nearby for unknown reasons, sources said.

A bullet traveled through the man’s left elbow and lodged in his stomach.

But he didn’t realize he was shot until he ran inside a nearby apartment.

He was taken to Jacobi Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

It was not immediately clear if he was the intended target.

* Several armed thieves stole cash and electronic equipment from a woman after forcing his way into her Morris Heights apartment, police sources said yesterday.

Six unidentified suspects barged into the Richman Plaza apartment after the 52-year-old resident answered a knock at the front door at 5:50 p.m. Monday, sources said.

As one of the thugs held the woman at gunpoint, the others ransacked the apartment, grabbing $20 from the victim’s wallet, as well as two televisions and a DVD player.

* A group of bandits grabbed more than $500 in cash, jewelry and cellphones after sticking up several people at gunpoint in a Melrose bar, authorities said yesterday.

Five unidentified men wielding guns stormed inside the Crystal Lounge at 1035 Prospect Ave. and ordered everyone to get on the floor, sources said.

One of the suspects jumped over a counter, told a bartender to open two registers and a cabinet behind the bar and stole about $450.

The other robbers then swiped cellphones, assorted jewelry and cash from several men and women, and fled on foot.

Staten Island

* A driver was arrested yesterday in Huguenot after police caught him with an illegal air pistol and two open containers of alcohol in his vehicle, police sources said yesterday.

Paul Tewfick, 21, was driving at Ramona Avenue near Nippon Avenue at 2 a.m. when police pulled over his vehicle, sources said.

Cops found Tewflick in possession of the air pistol and two open containers of beer.

He was charged with possession of air pistols and drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle.
