BUSH MEETS TERMINATOR GOV

LOS ANGELES – The White House announced yesterday that President Bush and the Terminator, California Gov.-elect Arnold Schwarzenegger, will meet tomorrow as both Republicans seek each other’s help to solve electoral and fiscal woes.

“The president very much looks forward to meeting with him. The two are both committed to work together on shared priorities,” White House press secretary Scott McClellan said.

More specifically, Bush needs Schwarzenegger’s help to reverse the president’s 1.3 million-vote beating at the hands of Al Gore in California in 2000.

Schwarzenegger, meanwhile, has said he’ll hit up Bush for federal help to bridge a looming budget deficit of between $8 billion and $10 billion.

That projected deficit doesn’t include Schwarzenegger’s campaign promise to terminate an unpopular car-tax hike.
