BIKE-BY SHOOT SUSPECT ARRESTED

A Brooklyn teen suspected of being the bike-riding gunman who wounded six men after a basketball game was arrested yesterday and charged with attempted murder after he turned himself in, police said.

Tony Lopez, 18, walked into the 28th Precinct in Harlem and asked to talk to a detective a day after cops released a photo of him and said they wanted to question him in connection with Sunday’s shooting spree, cops said.

Lopez was taken to the 69th Precinct in Brooklyn for questioning. He declined to talk and asked for a lawyer, police sources said.

The teen was picked out of lineups as the alleged shooter and was charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon, the sources said.

The rampage began around 8:30 p.m. Sunday after a basketball game at Seaview Park during which Lopez’ s girlfriend got into an argument with a group of people, the sources said.

When he went to her aid, Lopez was beaten up. He went home, got a 9 mm gun, got on his bicycle and opened fire on the street as members of the group walked home along Rockaway Parkway, sources said.

He fired at least 20 shots as he cycled after the men, who tried to run to safety, the sources said.

Five of the group were wounded as well as a bystander who was walking home with groceries.

The six victims, aged 14 to 32, were taken to area hospitals and treated for nonserious injuries, police said.
