A pared-down Pamela Anderson says when doctors removed her breast implants a week ago she was stunned to hear they found a leak in one of them.
The actress formerly known as very buxom said there was no medical reason for having the implants taken out.
“It was no medical problem … no reason why I took them out … there was nothing like that,” she told “Entertainment Tonight” in an interview airing Monday on Channel 2.
“But actually when I did remove them, they found a leak in one side. But when I took them out I had no idea anything was wrong,” said the former “Baywatch” star.
“I don’t know when it happened,” she said.
The 31-year-old blond bombshell, who wore a hot pink, tight, fitted V-neck sweater to yesterday’s chat with ET in Los Angeles, said she just got tired of the uber-cleavaged look.
“I don’t know what happened,” she said. “I think after having children and just nursing, I felt like I was Dolly Parton for the longest time and I thought I just want my natural body back. “
She said she had been considering downsizing for a while.
“I’ve been thinking about it for a long time,” she said. “I feel like I’m a petite person and just having these large breasts … it just didn’t feel right any more.
“I just didn’t feel like I looked very good. I was really kinda getting self-conscious of it.”
She says she’s pleased with her new look.
“I feel much sexier, much better. I’m running around naked all the time now,” she said, laughing. “It’s already hard for me to keep my clothes on, but now, forget it.”
She also said she feels all the interest in her de-padding is “so silly.”
“It’s really funny to me,” she said.
“My dad’s watching the news and there’s this war going on and then it’s ‘Pamela removed her implants’ is the next story. It’s so silly.”
Asked if she felt removing the implants would have a flattening impact on her career, Anderson said the offers were overflowing.
“Playboy is calling off the hook right now and everyone is going through the roof. More people want to get involved with me … more fashion people … and that’s always kind of been my fantasy to get more into fashion and more into those kind of magazine covers.”
