10 Things That’ll Almost Definitely Sell Out: From Merrell to Magnolia Bakery

For this week’s Don’t DillyDally, we’ve surfaced a range of new things we’re sure will sell out, including Hue’s reversible swimsuits, sweet sneakers from Keds and Magnolia Bakery, and Dagne Dover bags with an airbrushed sunburn.

Everlane’s first-ever collaboration is with London Fashion Week fixture Marques’ Almeida. Every item in the collection is made from deadstock scraps — patchwork pieces abound — with surplus fabrics respun in trippy tie-dye prints.

Keds sneakers have gotten a sweet makeover courtesy of Magnolia Bakery in a three-piece collection featuring piped trims reminiscent of buttercream and glitter that looks like rainbow sprinkles. These slip-ons are topped with daisies to match the sweets shop’s pink-frosted Carrie cupcake, named after that famous Sex and the City scene.

Hue might’ve made a name for itself with hosiery, but the brand is now dipping its toes into swimwear ahead of beach season. Almost all of the swimsuits — one-pieces, tankinis, and bikinis — are reversible with a tropical print on one side and a solid color on the other.

Just in time for summer vacation planning, Dagne Dover has launched a limited-edition Beach Club collection. The brand has reimagined some of its best sellers — including the Landon bag a former Paper editor travels with and a Strat-staff-favorite fanny pack — with a hand-painted hibiscus pattern and an airbrushed treatment meant to resemble a sunburn, along with brand-new solid shades like piña and oyster.

Comedian Jenny Slate is the newest member of Catbird’s impressive collaborators club (other recent contributors include Phoebe Bridgers, boygenius, and Sofia Wines). Slate’s collection is inspired by childhood memories, featuring motifs like seashells and buttons as well as this spinning — and engravable — 14-karat solid-gold heart-and-arrow charm.

For the outdoorsy types: Merrell and Sweaty Betty have teamed up for a collection of hiking gear, full of functional garments like a jacket that converts to a vest and a sweat-wicking sports bra with matching cargo shorts. But my favorite item is this pair of Tevas-esque two-tone sandals.

You can now get Naadam’s best-in-class cashmere sweaters embroidered with Peanuts cartoon characters, and the gang is (almost) all here: You can choose between Charlie Brown, Lucy, Snoopy, Woodstock, and Peppermint Patty. (I demand a Linus version!)

Peace Out’s Blemish Balm cured a former Strategist writer’s maskne in under a week — so I’m especially eager to try out the brand’s just-launched foaming gel cleanser, which features pimple-fighting salicylic acid.

In interiors news, design studio Salon 21 and home-decór designer the Modern Heirloom have partnered up for an ongoing collaboration — the first of which includes a trio of candlesticks. The candlesticks are inspired by the ironwork seen throughout Mexico City and hand-forged by a blacksmith in the capital’s Roma Norte neighborhood.

Hedley & Bennett’s aprons are chef-approved. New to the brand’s lineup is a line of food-themed aprons, including this latest one embroidered with a colorful tin of fish. In honor of the launch, the first 100 orders will also get a free can of Fishwife’s famous smoked salmon — so when I say don’t dillydally, I mean it.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
