Sticky Dates products

Lush created Sticky Dates shower gel a couple of years ago during the holidays. It became so popular that Lush made other kinds of products with the sticky dates fragrance/ingredients.

For Easter 2024 Lush has added a body lotion, a body spray fragrance, and a sugar scrub.

😊 In my ten minute video below i review, demo, rate, describe each of these products.

Shower gel 5 out of 5 rating

The shower gel is my favorite of the bunch and its also one of my top favorite lush shower gels.

Its dark, thick and rich with the scent of sticky toffee pudding. Carob, orange, vanilla, date syrup, sandalwood.

It smells like a brown sugar and toffee desert you would want to eat. Like sticky toffee pudding, which is made with dates too, amongst other good things.

Sticky toffee pudding

Ive never wanted to eat a Lush product more than i do this shower gel. Okay maybe Posh Chocolate or B Never gel too. 😄

Its a nice thick gel.

Sugar scrub 4.5 out of 5

I love the light and dark brown swirls that go through the wholecontainer of sugar scrub. I also enjoy the gold on the top.

I demo this scrub on my arm at the sink in my video above and i show the consistency of it up close.

It smells the most close to the shower gel as far as the rick, sticky toffee scent.

Body lotion 4 out of 5

Its thick but not greasy. Someof you know that alot of lotions are too greasy for me but this is nice and it smells good. Not quite as nice smling as the shower gel but close.

Body spray fragrance 3 out of 5 rating

It smells good when first sprayed, however as it dries it loses much of the richness It initially has like the rich scent of the shower gel. It smells less and less yummy the longer I wear it.

This is just on my skin, your mileage may vary.

In the lush photo below is the sticky dates soap which was available to purchase for Lush Mother’s Day. 😄

Avocado No-Wash

Lush ‘Avocado No-Wash body lotion

This has never been made for the public. Lush, Mark Constantine let us vote for which community favorites product we would like in a body lotion in 2018.
Its up for the vote for the Lush Kitchen September 2021 Subscription Box.

5 out of 5 rating for scent and 3 out of 5 rating for performance.

It was made in rhe wonderful ‘Avocado Co Wash’ solid shampoo scent.

The scent is a tart lime scent with a nice sweet note in it. It’s quite a big burst of a lime-y fragrance made with sweet, fruity bergamot oil, fragrant incense-y yet citrussy frankincense (olibanum), and the lemony litsea cubeba herb.
There is the addition of avocado, which is moisturizing and softening for skin and hair.

I like other products in this scent more than the body lotion. Its SO conditiining that it takes along time for it to dry on my skin so i can handle my camera or phone without getting them covered with lotion.

I loved the Melusine bath bomb, the shower gel and then the Minamisoma shower oil the most.

Ginger body lotion

Lush ‘Ginger’ body lotion.

Ginger perfume is one of those products that lush started selling when they were called ‘Cosmetics To Go’ in the 90’s. It was VERY popular.

This is a pic of mine in the white pot, but now they’re in black pots.

Up for the vote for the August 2021 Lush Kitchen Subscription Box.
Its made with rose, jasmine, ginger root. It’s a VERY floral scent. And a bitter floral, not a sweet scent.

There are around 12 Lush products that i have had over the years which were made in this same Ginger scent.

I’ve had a love/hate relationship with this scent. I used to like it a lot. But now i don’t. I love rose, i love jasmine and i love ginger root, so i’m not sure why i don’t like it. It’s VERY strong.

Do y’all like this scent? Or not so much?

Yog Nog body lotion

3 out of 5 rating

Created exclusively (along with five other lotions that we voted on) in 2015 for the previous incarnation of the Lush Kitchen. Never sold to the public. I remember buying 3 at that time.

Up for the vote for the July 2021 Lush subscription box.

Unfortunately, especially because i am around photography and video equipment a lot, it was way too greasy for my skin. I left greasy spots all over every table that i sat at for dinner, it left a greasy residue on everything i touched. Wonderful smell! But i just couldn’t use it, so i held a giveaway and gave away the other two unopened pots i had bought.
I like the Yog Nog body milk much more as it’s not so thick and oily as the lotion in the pot.

Coconut Snow

4 out of 5

This not what i would call a coconut smelling body lotion. It’s not like the coco lotion from long ago. This me scent of this Lush Coconut Snow is a lemony floral. It’s got coconut cream in it. As a matter of fact it’s the first ingredient.

I got one in my Lush monthly subscription box

Update: As of December 2021 Lush has added Coconut Snow to our monthly subscription box. So i will be able to finally try this myself and take pictures and videos of it. Very soon, within two days. Yay!! i’m so surprised and excited!

This was a lotion previously only available in the Christmas 2020 Advent calendar gift box.

It’s made with Rose, Coconut and Lemongrass.

Vanilla Dee-Lite

vanillary scent

Lush Times Online: Delightfully soothing, creamily smoothing, vanilla scented lotion for your body and hands. The Lush body creams that come in black pots are the thicker ones; the lighter ones, like Vanilla Delite, turn up in bottles. (100% recycled of course.) It’s been named Delite instead of Delight as a joke, not to annoy the writing team. The important thing is that it’s made with lovely light oils and butters – including Hawaiian tamanu and monoi – organic coconut water and Simon’s Vanilla Mountain scent! Use it to scent and soften your skin.

Ingredients: Hibiscus Infusion (Hibiscus sabdariffa), Spring Water, Pure Organic Coconut Water (Cocos nucifera), Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (Cocos nucifera), Stearic Acid, Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Fresh Kiwi Fruit (Actinidia chinensis), Glycerine, Triethanolamine, Illipe Butter (Shorea stenoptera), Vanilla Absolute (Vanilla planifolia), Jasmine Absolute (Jasminum grandiflorum), Tonka Absolute (Dipteryx odorata), Tamanu Oil (Calophyllum inophyllum), Cetearyl Alcohol, *Coumarin, Hydroxycitronellal, Perfume, Methylparaben, Propylparaben * Occurs naturally in Essential Oils

Little Pot of Energy

5 out of 5 rating

This is a solid/naked, packageless body lotion exclusive to the LushLabs at lush.co.uk

While i did not like the previous naked body lotion ‘Once Upon a Time’ that lush made for Christmas 2017 because it was too greasy, this one, Little Pot of Energy, is different.

Its not oily nor greasy. Its a drier consistency than ive seen before. Almost how a dry deo goes on. Theres no tacky feeling when you apply it.

I like the smell. Its made with oranges and grapefruit, as i explain in my demo and review video below.

the bottom line is that this works for me. it moisturizes my skin without feeling oily, and it snells great.

i would actually use this everyday, and i might even buy another one.

Lush: Move mountains. Fight lethargy. Deliver a dose of vitalising citrus straight to the skin. It’s a bolt of lightening to the brain: a sweep of orange puree that’s electric sharp to sniff but smooth as butter on your body thanks to a base of Fair Trade Colombian cocoa butter. Supercharge your skin with a sweep of brightening orange and grapefruit pulp and reboot your mind with a perfume flavour so fresh you can nearly taste it. Motivation’s never been this mouthwatering.
