A photo of the Sakura i bought in 2021

Mimosa in the moonlight. I knew this smell right away, I used to walk around these trees at my fathers house that had the fuzzy lavender colored flowers on it and the smell was heavenly. A sweet yet powdery flower the mimosa. It is lavender in color and fuzzy like a soft pink brush. Sometimes it smells like a light melon scent too. Mimosa is what the “Sakura” ballistic is scented with.

Mimosa tree flowers

In Japan Sakura stands for Cherry Blossoms.

Cherry Blossom tree

This has no color in the water.

a picture of the Sakura i bought in 2005

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Perfume, Sea Salt, Lemon Oil, Mimosa Absolute, Orange Blossom Absolute, Jasmine Absolute, Gardenia Extract, FD&C Red No. 4, FD&C Blue No. 1

Lush 2006 description: Sakura is the japanese name for cherry blossom which aptly describes this pretty pale pink ballistic. Sakura is dappled with bursts of pale green that rise up to a bright pink and green layer of exfoliating sea salt at the top of the bomb

Sakura doesnt color the water.

This has been one of Lush’s regular year round bath bombs since 2004 or so. And its still sold in stores today.

Its a fast dissolving fizzing type of bath bomb, not a slow, melty, foam typeof bomb. It has a lovely floral scent with blue and pink salt crystals on the top.

My photo below shows the different products that Lush has made throughout the years that have the same scent.

There’s one or two more products in this scent family that arent in my group picture.

Figs and Leaves

A whole truckle of Figs and Leaves soap in store from which they cut pieces off for customers to buy.

Yummy. A highly underrated soap as far as conversations amongst Lushies. For a long time this was my favorite soap. I first bought some in my second Lush order a long time ago. And i like it just as much today 20 years later. It smells very different. Feminine and floral but lightly so, fruity from the figs and full of fig seeds. This could be good if your exfoliating or bad if you don’t like bits. Nice creamy lather. That scent though, its the perfect combination of sweet and floral.

LT 2004 Description: Figs and Leaves is a lovely, coffee brown, creamy soap scented with ylang ylang and orange blossom perfumes. Ylang ylang is one of the oils that helps to balance the skin’s oil production; orange blossom absolute is excellent for keeping the skin in good condition. The little specks in Figs and Leaves are the fig seeds from the decoction of nutritious, fresh, organic figs that form the base of this soap. Rub this all over your body to gently exfoliate your skin, make it feel smooth and smell luxuriously of figs and flowers (not leaves)…..

You can see the little dots? They are parts of the figs

Ingredients: Fig Decoction, Aloe Vera, Perfume, Ylang Ylang Oil, Orange Blossom Absolute,

Titanium Dioxide, Sodium Chloride, EDTA, Tetrasodium Editronate, *Benzyl Benzoate, *Linalool. * Occurs naturally in essential oils

I would give this soap a 5 out of 5 rating.

Its more moisturizing on my skin than other Lush soaps.

The scent is near perfect.

Its a classic Lush soap having been in their stores for over 20 years, because its popular.

It isnt the prettiest soap but trust me, if you havent tried it youre missing out. 😊👍🏼

The one scent family product is Lush ‘Dorothy’ bubble bar. Same scent.

Squeak

4 out of 5 rating

See my demo video below

Made with big chunks of sea salt and lots of yummy tropical fruits such as mango, papaya, pineapple, lemon, and kiwi. Smells even more fruity and delicious than Lush I Love Juicy shampoo.

It’s a thick consistency, sort of like the consistency of Big liquid shampoo. I attached a vid to show the texture.

This is made for fine, limp hair and oily i normal hair. It’s not for my dry, thick, wavy hair.

After using it I can totally see how this woukd make thin hair thicker. It works well for that.

A little goes a long way. I have long hair. You have to make sure you rinse your hair well to get the small salt chunks out of your hair. It smells so good.

This was a surprise in the Lush July 2021 subscription box.

Have you tried it? Do you like it? Or not so much?

I wonder if Lush will have it in stores for the general public or if it will stay an exclusive one time thing.

Here is my video

The North Pole

There is another Lush product with the (almost) similar name called just “North Pole’ which is a pink and white soap. This “THE North Pole’ is a bubble bar. They have different scents. The soap is chocolate mint, and this bubble bar is more of a creamy sweet vanilla.

4 out of 5 rating. See my demo video below.

This has a nice light bakery kind of scent. Its similar to Lush Snowcake scent but not exactly. It smells like vanilla icing. Its not really spicy. It has white shimmer on the outside of the bubble bar. The bath melt sign is where all the gold glitter shimmer comes from.

Glitter
Lots of bubbles

Video

Snowball (Yukigassen)

This has a pretty light dusting of white glitter only here and there on the outside of the bomb. However i wasnt able to see any glitter in the water to speak of.

This is so refreshing, and the blue color is so.pretty. ididnt see a whole lot of glitter in the water though.

Im sorry about the noise of the wind in the video, it was VERY windy when i took this bath. 😊

SnowCake Jelly Stack

4 out of 5 rating. See my demo video below

When you are feeling wobbly reach for one of these three shower jelly discs layered in one pot of joy. Pick from marzipan, toffee or cherry to your skin’s desire.

How to use:
Wibble the jelly disc over your body and hair for a skin-softening wash. You can use it at room temperature, cool it in the fridge or even in the freezer for the ultimate invigorating shower.

The two that i bought didnt make it in my box, so i emailed Lush and showed them my order and packing slip. Thryre going to resend. Its taking awhile 😏

I like the cherry scented one most. Ilike the way each of them smell individually by themselves. When i smell them all in the same container its kind of overwhelming.

Ingredients

Glycerine, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Propylene Glycol, Maple Syrup Water, Almond Milk, Cherry Infusion, Carrageenan Extract, Perfume, Lime Oil, Almond Essential Oil, Davana Oil, Rose Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Calamine Powder, Titanium Dioxide, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, Silica, *Citral, Geraniol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Colour 77007, Colour 77491

Lush Kitchen September 2021

See my unboxing video below 😊

Now is the voting time. Voting is open until August 5.

My reviews, descriptions and pictures of them are at the links below to help you make your voting choices. 😊

Summer Blues bath bomb (omg)!😱 so rare

Granny Takes A Dip bath bomb

Karma shower jelly

The Godmother soap

Avocado No Wash body lotion

Grass solid shampoo

I’ve used all of these before and Here’s what i voted for

Hmm on Seot 30 2021 i saw this from one of the Lush product creators. I wonder if they’re talking about a candle?

Avocado No-Wash

Lush ‘Avocado No-Wash body lotion

This has never been made for the public. Lush, Mark Constantine let us vote for which community favorites product we would like in a body lotion in 2018.
Its up for the vote for the Lush Kitchen September 2021 Subscription Box.

5 out of 5 rating for scent and 3 out of 5 rating for performance.

It was made in rhe wonderful ‘Avocado Co Wash’ solid shampoo scent.

The scent is a tart lime scent with a nice sweet note in it. It’s quite a big burst of a lime-y fragrance made with sweet, fruity bergamot oil, fragrant incense-y yet citrussy frankincense (olibanum), and the lemony litsea cubeba herb.
There is the addition of avocado, which is moisturizing and softening for skin and hair.

I like other products in this scent more than the body lotion. Its SO conditiining that it takes along time for it to dry on my skin so i can handle my camera or phone without getting them covered with lotion.

I loved the Melusine bath bomb, the shower gel and then the Minamisoma shower oil the most.

Minamisoma solid shower oil

Karma shower jelly

Never made for the public, this has only originally been made in 2006 for uk forum members, and made in the Lush Kitchen a couple of times in 2014 and 2016. Its up for the vote for the September 2021 Lush subscription box.

5 out of 5 rating

If you like the Karma scent this jelly will make you happy.
Its strong with the classic orange oil, patchouli, lemon grass, and pine scent of Karma.

Its a red orange color with no sparkles.
I usually cut some up, put it in a small plastic kitchen seive and hold it under the falling water and it makes tons of karma scented bubbles in the tub.

I added a Karma scent famy (which is one of the biggest scent families) on the last photo, and there are four more newer products missing from the photo already!

The Godmother

4 out of 5 rating

As in Fairy Godmother 😊This was originally made in 2008 and discontinued around 2011 i think.
Its up for the vote for the September 2021 Lush Kitchen Subscription Box.
The previous incarnation of the Lush Kitchen remade this in 2015.

Its made with the sweet and spicy scent of Candy Fluff/Melting Marshmallow Moments.

Lush 2008 description:,Despite our Ballistics, skincare, haircare and all other wonderful things for our baths showers and bodies, people tend to call Lush “That soap shop”. This is fair, because we do make exceedingly good soaps. We looked into this (technically Pia looked into it and we were all very interested) and found that 68% of people in the UK wash their hands with washing up liquid. Thats just not right. Its not good for your hands. Stop it! Mo, our soap supreme, has made this special soap (scented with our best selling Candy Fluff scent) for keeping by the kitchen sink. Think of it as your fairy godmother for the hands.

Ingredients Water (Aqua) , Palm Free Soap Base, Propylene Glycol , Sodium Coco-Sulfate , Sodium Stearate , Perfume , Synthetic Musk , Glycerine

I like the scent of this soap. The first thing I did was to get the package and before I opened it I could smell the Candy Fluff scent that I love. It’s a fruity, pink, with purole sparkkes and a sweet pink, effervescent smelling fragrance. If you like the Candy Fluff powder, or Marshmellow Melting Moments bath melt you will love this soap.

It’s such a gorgeous color of dark rose pink and it has pink/purple shift glitter. The Godmother is not exceptionally drying to my hands nor is it moisturizing , but somewhere in the middle.
I was surprised at how low lathering this soap was. The scent stays on my hands for a goodly while. I did notice that the Godmother lather was minimwl. The Godmother didn’t leave my hands dry.

This was the whole huge truckke of soap in the stores that tgey woukd cut pieces off of for selling.

Summer Blues

4 out of 5

A beautiful, fresh floral scent.

This is up for the vote for the September 2021 subscription box. 🤞🏽

This is rare. Lush has never remade this since it was originally sold in 2004. Not even in the previous incarnation of the Lush Kitchen. I pray this gets enough votes. 🙏🏼

This is (was) a lovely powdery, Summer floral bath bomb available in the UK and in some NA gifts. Lots of pretty, tiny blue flower petals in this one. Summer Blues also turns the water a pale blue. Its a fast fizzer type of bomb, and dissolves quickly, not a slow melty foamy bath bomb. This was made and sold before there was such a thing as the foam bath art type of lush bomb.

Lush used to make a liquid bath oil called Dreaming of Summer and this was the precursor to Summer Blues bomb. I love having them together but if you don’t like bits in your bath (and on your skin if you use the bath oil with it.) then you can simply put the bomb in a pop sock or a kitchen seive, as just the smell and water color is worth it. Here is a picture of the Dreaming of Summer bath oil.

Summer Blues’ fresh scent lasts on the skin longer than most Lush scents too. It’s a similar fresh, spring air scent that is in Lush’s “Oxeo Cube” deo and “Tiptoe Thru The Tulips” soap. I don’t usually combine these with anything.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Perfume, Blue Mallow Flowers, Larkspur Flowers, Cornflower Petals, Rose Absolute, Orange Blossom Absolute (Citrus dulcis), Lemongrass Oil, Jasmine Absolute, Colour 42045.

Lush Times Summer 2004 description: Drop this in the bath and you’ll get a blue pond full of three kinds of blue flower petals, scented with soothing rose, calming and reviving orange blossom, relaxing jasmine and lemongrass to lift your spirits. It’s like buying a ticket and hopping on the magic bus to a warm, summer garden. Float in a warm bath of flowers and you’ll discover that the Summer Blues Bath Ballistic is one of the fastest ways to rid yourself of winter miseries.

Santa’s Magic Sleigh

This is a fun 3 in 1 bath bomb for Christmas 2021. There are three pieces, and each piece has its own color and scent. The yellow sleigh is comforter scent which smells like ripe berries. The red santa is made with Snow Fairy scent. And the Butterbear smells like Butterball.

I took a series of progressive photos below showing how it looks as it dissolves.

Its one of those fast fizzy bonbs that lush make, not the slow, foamy ones. That said, for being a madly fizzing kind it does make decent bath art because of the different colored bombs.

The outcome is a deep orange bath water.

Id rate this a 5 out of 5 because i like the new 3 in 1 idea, and for the idea of making different parts to have different scents. So you can use parts of it per bath or you can use it all at once.

Rangoli Dreams

5 out of 5 rating (WOW) See my TubbDemo & Scent description video below.

The first time i saw this, on a lush store instagram account, and i thought to myself ‘oh my God what a beautiful bomb.’

Lush description: Watch colours of orange, red and gold glide across your bath as you sink into skin softening waters with rice starch and coconut milk powder. Lie back and listen to the firework-like crackle whilst you inhale the scent of decadent floral rose and rich cardamom.

Rangoli is an art form originating in the Indian subcontinent on certain holidays, in which patterns are created on the floor or a tabletop using materials such as powdered lime stone, red ochre, dry rice flour, coloured sand, quartz powder, flower petals, and coloured rocks.

The smell is delicate, but GORGEOUS. Pure rose, cardamom (which i love), mandarin oil, almond essential oil, coconut powder, benzoin. It a delicate, softly sweet rose, a drop of fragrant and yummy cardamom and a half drop of almond essential oil.

As it starts foaming and dissolving a lovely striped pattern of gold, orange and red foam appeared. The popping candy is slow popping, it doesn’t distract from the poetic loveliness of this bomb.

I don’t know why i took it out to set it on the side of the tub and take a picture. But here’s that. 😄

This is a slow melter type of lush bomb. I love the gradient colors of foamy stripes in my photo below.

Golden glitter appears in the water when the bomb is all dissolved.

It’s altogether lovely, romantic, festive and yummy.

I need to buy 7.

Jolly

4 out of 5 rating

Unfortunately for my extensively dry skin It’s not the most moisturizing shower gel. that’s the only reason it’s a 4 and not a 5.

See my Jolly Demo/Description/Rating Video below

This is a different scent for a Lush shower gel. It has Orange, cinnamon, clove. I thought that because of the ingredients that this has it would smell like Lush ‘Hot Toddy’, Lush ‘Glögg’ or even Lush ‘Taai Taai’ shower gel. Its not like Lush ‘Ponche’ shower gel either.

It doesn’t smell like any of those. Nor does it smell like any of the Lush orangey shower gels. I mean..it does smell orangey but not *just* orangey.

in the video below i squeeze the gel onto a plate and tilt the plate so you can see how slow it falls

It has a light spice to it. Its refreshing but has a little something to it. Its more of a full bodied scent than most citrus orange scents.

I like it a lot. Its festive and well, Jolly! 😊

Oh, and there is no glitter in this shower gel.

I would definitely suggest this shower gel.

I had this wonderful shower gel that i wrote about here called ‘Taai Taai’ i bought it from a UK lushie in 2006. Lush made it for their Dutch Lushies. The ingredients sounded a bit similar. But nope, not at all similar.

Description: This is a special shower gel made especially for the Dutch Lushies. It’s based on the Sinterklas celebration. It was also available in the Leeds shop in England as a special for their party.

Jolly is one of three new Christmas 2021 Lush shower gels

Golden Pear body scrub

5 out of 5 – see my close up sink demo below 😊

Time to scrub up? Pop into the shower and let the sea salt and prickly pear oil do the hard work, leaving you with softer skin. Listen out for crackle-ingly good shower ASMR with this natural exfoliator.

you all asked and no, my arm didnt have any glitter after i used it. 😊

How to use:
Wet your bar, rub between your hands and scrub using the pressure you like. Cut in two before you use or use whole bar for an indulgent pear-scented treat.

How to store:
Keep somewhere cool and dry until ready. This is enough for two full body scrubs so pop in a dish between uses.

i was very excited to buy golden pear scrub. i love all the lush golden pear products. It’s made with real pear. And i cannot resist bath bombs that look like fruit. And a gold one? Yeah, i’m not made of wood people.

If you’ve tried the Golden Pear body spray or jelly, you know that these two have a very strong astringent alcohol-y note to it. This isn’t the case with the scrub. The scrub smells more like the Golden Pear soap, bath bomb and bubble bar.

After using my skin is smooth, soft and moisturized, while also smelling like a pear. It’s conditioning without being too much.

As you can see in my video my arm didnt have any noticeable glitter when i was done.
