Schnuggle

5 out of 5 rating

Lush ‘Schnuggle’ body butter. Not to be confused with a 2024 Mothers Day shower gel called ‘Snuggles’ which is spelled differently.
Discontinued in 2010 or thereabouts.
Up for the vote for possible inclusion in the Feb 2021 Lush subscription box.
Lush has had a few of these body butter squares. Some exfoliating and some not.
This is one of the top three body butters that Lush have made in my opinion.

I love this bar for two reasons, the way it leaves a powdery soft finish on my skin, and the calming, yet sensual lavender, ginger, sandalwod and jasmine scent. This is one of lush’s first tries at this new formula and it’s the perfect consistency. If you Lushies dont’ like the more moist way that the other body butter bars leave your skin, you will love this. I even use it as a deo, it’s lovely smelling and it doesn’t scratch my skin and it’s also more moisturizing than a regular deo, The way I was taught to use it is to smooth is on your skin after I’ve dried off with a towel after a shower. It leaves skin dry and powdery soft. And it’s a dream for relaxing before bed. This is a softer, powderier lavender scent and a wee bit more floral than other of Lush’s lavender scents. Shnuggle reminds me more of the softer scent of lavender that is in “Ickle BabyBot” bath bomb. Mmmm….lovely.

Lush 2007 Description: Body Butter for Bed Time. In the world of Lush, the traditional thinking is that people take showers to wake themselves up in the morning and baths to calm down at night, but many of us have one or the other, not both. So we are delighted to introduce the Shnuggle bar, a sleep-inducing body butter for bedtime. Noriko came up with the concept, mixing moisturising cocoa butter with absorbent powders so that your skin feels soft and smooth, but not the slightest bit oily; use it, dry off and fall straight into bed without worrying about the sheets. It cleans in a chalky-smooth way and its dreamy, soporific, Dreamtime scent will seduce you straight to sleep.

Ingredients: Cocoa Butter, Corn Starch, Kaolin, Magnesium Carbonate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Lavender Oil, Ginger Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Chamomile Oil ,Jasmine Absolute

Regarding the below question in the comments, i found this

Lush New Year 2021 products

This will be Lush first Lunar new Year/Chinese New Year products ever.

This will be available on-line and in all stores globally from the beginning of January.

From Lush Inventor Alessandro: “The inspiration came from a trip. Last year I visited my brother, who lives in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, around this period. When I arrived in the city, Chinese New Year celebrations were in full swing, with red and gold decorations everywhere, temples ready for festivity and a joyful atmosphere – with everyone, from all background, ready to join in. I live in London and every year there are huge celebrations in the city, and I thought it would be really nice for Lush to join in.”

Dragon Legend Bubble Stick

During the Lunar New Year, the ancient dragon dance is performed to scare away evil spirits. Welcome this dragon into your bath for good luck, knowledge and truth. You just need to leave it at the bottom of the tub whilst the tap is running. When the tub is full, pick it up and leave it on the side to dry, ready to be reused a couple more times. I’ve used some dragon fruit powder (obviously!) and the same scent as the old favourite Christmas Eve bubble bar – with jasmine and ylang ylang.

Godiva Lucky Coin Shampoo Bar

Godiva is back for a limited time! This shampoo bar has a classic Lush scent of jasmine… and was very very popular in our shops across Asia. I’ve reformulated slightly – so instead of chunks of conditioner you have a liquid conditioning blend mixed in with the shampoo needles, including camellia oil, which is traditionally used for extra shine on the hair. The shape is inspired by the shape of the lucky golden coins that are given as a gift during Lunar New Year. You always give these coins in a red bag – so red bags will also be available in the shops!

Botanomancy bubble bar

See my 3 minute Tub Demo Video below 😊

The Lush 2021 “4:20” cbd bath bomb and Botanomancy bubble bar are the same scent.

Legendary belle Ninon de Lenclos was said to soak in a blend of beautifying herbs to maintain her youthful vigour. You can invoke a little herbal alchemy of your own by drawing a bath full of pimento berry, peppermint and rose petals to quell agitation and promote wellbeing. Take a truly sensorial dip in woodsmoky waters perfumed with patchouli, sandalwood and cannabidiol oils to escape stress.

I just used a quarter of the bar for my bath

How to use:
Crumble under the hot water tap to conjure up clouds of bubbles, and steep in peaceful evergreen waters. If you’d like to follow Madam de Lenclos’ precise example, she advised resting 15 minutes in the magic water and thinking virtuous thoughts.

This product contains cannabidiol, commonly known as CBD oil, for its non-intoxicating relaxing qualities. The raw material is made of 10% CBD mixed with 90% Hemp Oil. This in turn is used at a percentage that provides 25mg of CBD per 200g item. You can find out more here.

Botanomancy is made from the scent of ‘Suoertramp’ bubble bath/shower gel…which is made from combining Tramp shower gel and Smaragadine bubble bath.

How to store:
Keep somewhere cool and dry until ready to use.

Please note: This product can only be shipped within the UK

I love the scent of this. It’s like a dark green forest. It’s a comforting scent. Grounding.

cbd doesn’t work for everybody, but it does for me. Using this in the bath completely took my pain away.

To those Old Skool Lushies, this reminds me of Lush Tramp shower gel, but with no patchouli.

I love the dark green water.

As of December 2021 there is a new massage bar and a new perfume in this same fragrance.

Lush Grassroots perfume

5 out of 5 rating

What a surprise to get this in the mail. 😱

Only sold at the Lush Italy Perfume Library.

As i show in the video below, the wrap that this was wrapped in at the store is gorgeous. A beautiful burnished rose print and So silky.

This perfume was made in the Charity pot lotion scent, but at a very high concentration (it’s a strong perfume).

scent family

It’s a Proper Eau de Parfum, with loads of regenerative ingredients from different projects.

Geranium from Kenya, Rosewood Oil from Peru, Ylang Ylang oil from Ghana, and Vanilla from madagascar.

And the unique Scent Cube made with sustainable cork as a lid.

It’s got a slightly sweet chocolatey note, with a soft blanket of ylang ylang, and a lovely, slight woodiness.

Winter Garden bath bomb

4 out of 5 rating

see my tub demo video below

Winter garden reminds me of an old school Lush bath bomb. Back then their bombs didn’t really make ‘bath art’. In fact they weren’t foamy they were only fast fizzing. And the bombs would have flowers or other things in them.

Winter Garden bath bomb is like this. It’s a smaller bomb, like the size of the Butterball bath bomb from Lush.

It looks like fairies made it, it’s tiny, real pink, yellow and blue flower petals in it. It smells like a fairy garden too. A brilliant floral scent that is new.

It doesn’t color the water. What it lacks in size it makes up for in scent. The fragrance is so pretty that Lush asked everyone to vote for five new body sprays and what fragrances we would like and Wintergarden was one of the five that won and was made into a body spray.

I would rate this a 4 out of 5. I liked it so much i bought two more.

Youki Hi

2 out of 5 rating

up for the vote for possible inclusion in the Lush Feb 2021 subscription box.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Sea Salt (Sodium Chloride), Perfume, Jasmine Absolute (Jasminum officinale), Ylang Ylang Oil (Cananga odorata), Cypress Oil (Cupressus sempervirens), Palmarossa Oil (Cymbopogan martini), Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides), Red Golden Glitter (Polyethylene terephthalate, FD&C Yellow No. 5, D&C Red No. 7, FD&C Red No. 4), FD&C Red No. 4

This has scent of Flying Fox shower gel, and Lush ‘Cloak of Invisibity’ bath oil bon bon, ‘Floating Flower’ bath bomb, Lust perfume, with lots of honeysuckle, ylang ylang and not too noticeable jasmine. It’s similar to the Lush ‘Lust’ perfume. I don’t like the scent whatsoever , *raises right hand* I cannot finish a bath with this. I’ve tried it twice just to make sure. I usually try things at least three times, but no can do. It’s apity because visually, it’s strikingly gorgeous. The Youki Hi from the UK especially, are covered (on the outside only) with a bunch of golden glitter, and dark red salt. I don’t like Flying Fox shower gel either, and this ballistic was made to have the same exact scent as flying Fox shower gel.

These are the little flower buds in it.
This is the color of the water.

LT description: Our Chinese New Year celebration Ballistic is named after one of the world’s three most beautiful women ever, a Chinese woman called Youki-Hi, according to Japanese tradition. It as Yuka’s idea; she works for Lush in Japan. It has the gloriously sensual, jasmine flower fragrance of Flying Fox and is regally decorated with gold sparkles and red sea salt – that’s sea salt dyed red not salt from the Red Sea in the colours of Chinese dragons which dance along the street for new year parades. The other two most beautiful women, so legend has it, were Cleopatra and Onono Komachi, a Japanese storyteller. Perhaps one day they will have their own commemorative Bath Ballistics too. (It’s pronounced ‘you-key-hee’ not ‘you-key-high’ except by Mark.)

Queen of Hearts facial soap

4 out of 4 rating

Up for the vote for possible inclusion in the February 2021 Lush Kitchen subscription box

Ingredients:
100g £2.40Rose Infusion (Rosa centifolia), Vegetable Soap, Glycerine, Almond Oil (Prunus dulcis), Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Perfume, Geranium Oil, Rose Absolute, Violet Leaf Absolute, Stearic Acid, Triethanolamine, Cetearyl Alcohol (wax), Methylparaben, Propylparaben.

This is a lovely gentle soap for sensitive skin, older skin or even dry skin. The ingredients are about as close as a bouquet of roses as you can get. The real and fresh rose scent is very nice. Leaves my skin soft and non-irritated.

Summer 2000 Lush Times description: Queen of Hearts is a soft, creamy complexion soap which we make for all of you who should know better than to wash your face with soap but just won’t stop doing it. At least if you’ll use this one then you won’t be drying out your skin too badly because the glycerine, almond oil and cocoa butter we put in it (not to mention lashings of skin-friendly essential oils) will stop you stripping away all your face’s natural oils. We make it with roses so you smell lovely too.

Choco La La

Upcoming for the vote for inclusion in the Feb 2021 Lush Kitchen subscription box

Ingredients: Dark Chocolate, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Orange Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Violet Leaf Absolute, Perfume.

Lush Times description: It IS real orange, sandalwood and violet leaf scent that are put into Choco La La and not ‘plastic’; as some of people have commented. They probably don’t realize that many of the scents they think are ‘natural’ are made in test tubes. If you try out this massage bar, you will experience the incomparable feeling of warmed cocoa butter and chocolate being smoothed into the skin, smell the revitalizing orange oil, the sandalwood to encourage relaxation and violet leaf to remember how to enjoy your sensuality. Do you get it? Perhaps it may be a little messy but it does wash out of your sheets and linen. Tap into your sense of adventure!

This is definitely one of my favorite lush massage bars. It looks like a little fancy chocolate dessert. It smells of chocolate (real chocolate smell, not fake chocolate) and violet leaf absolute (DaddyO, Bathos, Retread) It’s grittier than a lot of bars. It harder to rub in to your partners skin too, so you have to rub it in longer to get the brown chocolate in the skin. I give this 4 stars.

I took a photo of all the Lush chocolates below 😊

There have been two additions since i took this photo: ‘Holy Cacao!’ Gourmet soap, ‘Bunny’ body scrub, ‘Posh Chocolate’ body scrub, and ‘Walter Bunny’ body bar.

Here’s a short demo video and review i made of Lush Choco La La bar

The Sleeping Giant

see my 3 minute tub demo video below

up today. New, as a regular, year long item at uk.lush.com . It’s a giant bombshell created for sleep. It’s kind of like the Flower Milk bath bomb here. I bought two. When i get them i’ll take photos and record a video of it in the tub when i take a bath with one.

Mama Mia body spray

5 out of 5 rating

This is my favorite of the five exclusive body sprays that the Lush community voted for amongst the ten scents that Lush gave us to choose from.

Naturally i voted for this one. The Mama Mia body scrub is one of my all time favorite smelling products. The first time i sniffed that vanilla and pink grapefruit scent i was in love.I love all five of the scents that won, but Mama Mia is definitely my favorite.

It’s such a Yummy scent.

When the body spray is first sprayed on it smells like something you would eat for dessert. It smells like strawberry cake with orange icing. The scent stays true while it’s drying.

.

In 15 minutes it’s fairly dried down, and while the scent has faded somewhat the yummy notes still smell the same as when i first sprayed it on.

I am so glad Lush made this into a body spray. I would rate this a 5 out of 5.

If you like vanilla or pink grapefruit you’ll probably love this.

Mama Mia Solid body scrub

here’s my video where i describe the scents of all five and read the ingredients etc

Lush Winter Garden body spray

Winter garden body spray is one of five exclusive new December 2020 body sprays out of nine that we voted on via the Lush Labs site. Winter Garden scent is from the Christmas 2020 bath bomb of the same name. Lush hasn’t made this scent before in a bath bomb, body spray nor any product.

It’s always exciting when Lush creates a new product with a new scent that has a really great scent. Winter Garden bath bomb is this kind of product, so it’s no wonder we voted for this to be made into a body spray.

Winter Garden is a floral scent with the primary note of ylang ylang. It smells pretty. It’s a somewhat more complex floral scent to my nose than some other Lush florals. Winter florals are represented here, on top of the bath bomb are yellow, pink and blue flower petals. They look so small and delicate and perfect, like fairies placed them there.

Winter Garden bath bomb

I sprayed a good single spray on each fore arm. Right off the bat the scent of different kinds of flowers came alive on my skin. It made me go ‘oooh!’. You have to love the scent of flowers to like this body spray, so if you’re not a florals person you may want to smell this in store if you can first. there is no citrus, fruity notes in this fragrance. Nothing that smells sweet nor anything bakery like. it’s not earthy smelling at all, nor are there any green or woody notes that i can pick out. Just a beautiful layering of florals. It’s smells like a winter wedding bouquet.

While i do like citrus scent, and all scents actually, i am a florals person by nature. Some of my most favorite Lush perfumes and Lush bath products have floral scents. Lush doesn’t make them too much anymore like they used to in the early 2000’s.

That’s why this body spray fragrance is so special to me.

It’s dried down on my arm now and it’s still quiet strong. It still maintains the complexity of the fragrance. it gets a wee bit more powdery as it dries, which is nice actually, it’s not so alcohol-y as it was when wet.

the use by date is October 2024

I will say that the scent is very ylang ylang forward. So if you don’t like ylang ylang..

I always have my husband smell it too and tell me what it smells like to him. My husband said he couldn’t quite tell but that it was nice. i said ‘it’s floral’. I knew he had bad experiences with florals. He tells me of when he was young and his school teacher used to come to his desk wearing a floral perfume that was so obnoxious it made him sick. When i asked him tonight’s s this perfume like your teachers floral perfume?’ He said ‘not at all’. I take that as a good sign. 🙂

I would recommend this. And i would rate it a 4 out of 5 rating.

Lush Jasmine Cream bubble bar

Lush Jasmine Cream bath melt

Lush Winter Garden bath bomb

This bath melt has the same scent as Winter Garden
Jamine Cream bubble bar

Here’s a video that i created where i review, describe, rate each of the five new body sprays including Winter Garden.

Sparkly Pumpkin

These new body sprays come to Lush USA December 17 2020.

I demo and review this in my video below.

Sparkly Pumpkin is one of five body sprays that won the voting process from ten fragrances that we voted on. I didn’t vote for this one 🙂 That said, i do like the bubble bar that it’s named after. I just wanted to vote for the others more is all.

The bubble bar that this fragrance is made from smells more like fruit punch than the body spray. To me the Sparkly Pumpkin body spray seems fruity but with a slight floral/flowery, spicy note. It’s nice, just not as fruit punch-like as the Sparkly pumpkin bubble bar and the Mr. Punch soap.

lush description of the bubble bar:

At the end of a long day, pop this Sparkly Pumpkin into the bath. As you crumble its golden shimmeryness under running water, you’ll feel instantly re-energized. An uplifting blend of juniperberry, grapefruit and lime oils will fill the room with an enticing, cocktail-like punch. And as you sink deep under the glittering gold water, you won’t be able to keep from smiling – probably because this little pumpkin is made to make every day bright.

Mr Punch soap-same scent

In my photo below is the Lush exclusive ‘Sparkly Pumpkin Slime’.

juniper bush with its berries

Unlike some perfumes or body sprays sparkly pumpkin’s fragrance stays pretty much the same when it dries down as when it’s first sprayed. It’s got a decent amount of throw also., even after having dried a bit.

I like this Sparkly pumpkin body spray. I would rate this a 4 out of 5. It smells more like a grown up version of fruit punch 😉

Here’s a video i made reviewing, demoing and describing each of the five exclusive body sprays, including sparkly pumpkin.

Space Girl body spray

Space Girl body spray and Space Girl bath bomb

Space Girl body spray was one of ten favorite Lush product fragrances that Lush had us vote from during their LushLabs voting. Space Girl was one of the five winning product fragrances with the most votes.

I’ve always loved the Space Girl bath bomb when it was sold in stores and i was so bummed when Lush discontinued it. It was made with Black currant, Grapefruit, and bergamot. And it was a pale lilac color with silver glitter mixed in and red glitter dust on top to simulate the planet saturn and its red dust rings. Once inside the water it would release a red glitter which would look like a comet on the bottom of the tub. SO cool.

The space girl fragrance is a fruity scent. It’s citrussy and berryish. Citrussy because of the grapefruit and bergamot, and berryish because of the black currant. Black currant is the main ingredient in ‘The Comforter’ just for reference.

black currant
bergamot
grapefruit
almond essential oil

When i first spray the body spray on my arms it’s of course very strongly scented and alcohol-y. Also, when it’s wet i find that acrid note that some people find off putting in black currant. But once the body spray starts the dry down process on my skin-that acrid note disappears and just the fruity goodness remains.

The almond oil that Lush added to the body spray is nice. It adds a smooth and slightly sweet note to the fruity mix of citrus and berryliciousness.

As far as staying power this is better than most at staying true to it’s fragrance for any length of time once it dries down on the skin.

There’s a somewhat bitter note in between the fruity goodness. So it keeps the fragrance from being too sweet. The resulting scent reminds me of raspberry candy of some sort.

It’s not as sweet and fruity as Roller/Yummy Mummy for instance, but it’s more fruity and sweet than Sparkly Pumpkin.

I would recommend this if you like fruity scents that are different citrus/berry blends.

The scent lasts longer on the skin than Ectoplasm body spray, and about the same as the three others.

.

These are other Lush products with the same scent

Goth Fairy Sparkle massage bar

And a new Lush Harajuku special edition bubble bar ‘Stargazer’.for 2020 sold on the Lush UK and the Lush USA web sites.

I want a hippopotamus for Christmas bath bomb

Dinosaur Egg

Very very frightening shower gel

I would rate this a 4 out of 5 rating.

Here’s a video where i spray on, review and describe these five body sprays.
