Bertie William Gilbert (b. 1 May 1997) is a British/South African actor who portrayed Scorpius Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.[3] He is currently an active filmmaker and has made a total of seven short films.

- He is an active filmmaker on Vimeo and YouTube. He has created a major fifteen minute short film called 'Stray Dog' in which he wrote, directed and starred in. He has also created a number of shorter films such as 'Diner'.
- In 2007 (age 10), Gilbert appeared on The Friday Night Project where he faced off against David Tennant answering questions about Doctor Who.
- He has done a great deal of networking and has become friends with various filmmakers and YouTube personalities such as Jack Harries, Tom Ridgewell, Benjamin Cook and Charlie Mcdonnell.
- Despite appearing in the Harry Potter franchise, he does not have a Pottermore account and says he never will.
- He has added fans on Facebook because he thinks it's cool to have 5,000 Facebook friends.
- His agency doesn't allow meet-ups with fans aside from arranged gatherings.
