I moved this page from 'Faith of the Seven' to 'Culture'. In as far as I know, trail by battle is not a religious practice. - Regards, KarinS 23:16, July 21, 2011 (UTC)

It's emphasised more in the books that the person who wins a trial by battle has proven his innocence in the eyes of the gods and is free to go. The TV series nods in that direction but I don't think is as overt about it.--Werthead 13:45, July 22, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, you're right about the books - I had forgotten that bit of information. In that case, I'll put the 'Religion' tag back on... regards, KarinS 17:17, July 22, 2011 (UTC)
Beware: *spoiler ahead* Hm, in book three Sandor Clegane is sentenced to trial by battle in the name of the Lightning Lord. So while it is a religious practice, it's apparently not limited to the Faith of the Seven. - regards, KarinS 14:23, July 23, 2011 (UTC)
