The Lands of the Long Summer[1][a] are a region on the Valyrian peninsula.

In the books[]

In the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, the Lands of the Long Summer were the heartlands of the Valyrian Freehold.[2][3] Aenar Targaryen owned holdings there, but sold them when he moved to Dragonstone to escape the coming Doom.[4] Before the Doom, they were the most fertile lands in the known world, but since then they have become scorched, drowned, and blighted.[5]
