Revival, Selena Gomez’s very good second solo album, dropped Oct. 9, and Billboard reports that it has reached the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart. With 117,000 equivalent album units moved, Revival knocks Janet Jackson’s Unbreakable from the highest slot. Gomez’s 2013 solo debut, Stars Dance, also hit No. 1 on the albums chart.

“I’ve lived such a public life that I understand that I’m under a microscope,” Gomez told EW when discussing Revival. “It’s made me depressed and it’s made me happy and it’s made me grateful and humble — but [I’ve learned] it’s okay to let down my walls with my music, to feel sexy and good. … I wanted to feel the songs and be weird and have a change of environment.”

Jackson — whose music Gomez coincidentally told EW she “grew up with” and influenced Revival — fell to No. 8 and saw a 74 percent drop in sales. The Weeknd’s Beauty Behind the Madness and the Drake and Future collaboration What a Time to Be Alive moved down within the Top 10, while Fetty Wap’s self-titled debut and Taylor Swift’s 1989 (still!) held their current spots, at Nos. 4 and 6, respectively.
