Could one place a link tot the French version? Migdejong 17:51, 27 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Orphan message

[edit]

I think the orphan message could be removed now, as it's used in Template:Featured article (and thus in some 700? articles). Jon Harald Søby 18:16, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Update 2,143 articles, plus half the userpages out there, showing how many articles the respective user helped promote to FA status. --haha169 (talk) 05:14, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Description

[edit]

Could someone update the description to the summary given by Lupin (talk · contribs) for the current version:

From http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/c/cf/Cscr-featured.png/14px-Cscr-featured.png, resized version of [[Image:Cscr-featured.png|]] for consistency with other en featured stars.

{{GLPL}}

This is so it can be properly categorized as LGPL (and not GFDL, which this isn't since it is now a resized LGPL image), and reflect what it now is (a resized version of the standard English Wikipedia FA star and not the star on the French edition). I can't edit as the image is protected, so someone please add this. Thanks! --WCQuidditch 21:04, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

{{editprotected}}

I suspect the star from the French Wikipedia was LGPL to start with as well. Image:Fairytale bookmark gold.png is the current star from fr.wp, and it's currently LGPL. As per Wikipedia talk:Wikipedia Signpost#imagemap, please change GFDL to LGPL. --Kjoonlee 10:13, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Also, please be careful with code you provide; there were two errors with yours. Cheers. --MZMcBride 13:33, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New star

[edit]

The newly uploaded star (29th January) looks a bit uglier to me, and too much like a barnstar. What was wrong with the old one? BigBlueFish 17:02, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My mistake, I get the change now. It still isn't very pretty - the new size means that it loses the segmentation that makes the larger FA star look fine. Maybe a version where hilights on the faces have more contrast would make this clearer in the low-res icon. BigBlueFish 17:02, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

NowCommons

[edit]

This image is available at Commons:ImageLinkFA-star.png. Is there any reason to keep the en. version?--Nilfanion (talk) 18:45, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Protection? I've removed the template. Shimgray | talk | 03:32, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vector version available

[edit]

{{editprotected}} Could someone add {{Vector version available|Cscr-featured.svg}} please? Thanks! It Is Me Here (talk) 15:00, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Isn't this the same star used on featured images? If so, the description page (which apparently cannot be edited by me) shouldn't restrict itself to featured articles. Thanks, --Hordaland (talk) 12:36, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
