Did I use the notes field correctly?

[edit]

While updating this photo, I noticed that there were two records of it in one archive, with each giving conflicting information on the date and location at which the photo was taken. I explained this discrepancy and my reasoning for the one I considered more likely to be correct in the "notes" field of the infobox, and signed it. Is this correct, or is that field reserved for information from the source database? If it is incorrect, where should I document that information? Nicknimh (talk) 22:30, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I have another question. I reasoned that this photo was PD based on Australian law, but if it was taken in America and comes originally from a UC Berkley archive, does that mean that it needs to be considered under US law instead? Nicknimh (talk) 22:36, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
