Thoughts on this map

Per your request, Yug, here are some thoughts concerning this map:

Done I would crop (and therefore enlarge) the map by eliminating Antartica. Antartica is not necessary.
Done (deleted the intermediate brown) It is very hard to interpret the arrows. Instead of shades of brown, perhaps they could be separate colours.
Done (merge in the legend) I also believe that it is extremely hard to separate the "Land moves" from the "Sea moves". Is there any reason to have different arrow sizes?? Our readers can tell from its location whether an arrow is a "Land move" or a "Sea move".
Done (merge) I do not understand the difference between the "New deathly 1918 flu" and the "Spreading to Europe and the world".
Done (improve) Legend frame colors and look.

is it possible to add an 's on the end of American..should read American's and European's boats
