This logo has been uploaded to Commons numerous times before, all resulting in their eventual deletion. I do agree with some others that this logo is rather common property than a truly original work of art, although it is a pleasing arrangement of geometric shapes. However, there is no definitive proof that it meets the United States' threshold of originality. Other Windows logos such as those for Windows XP and 7 have gone through a similar fate of being uploaded here and then being deleted. It is not worth the risk. - The Windows XP and Windows 7 logos are 3D models with shading. I suspect the 1995 logo exceeds TOO, but I can't say I'm 100% confident about that. - Alexis Jazz ping plz 19:07, 20 October 2019 (UTC)
Keep Very clear {{PD-shape}} in my view. Exactly this file (kept here), just with four basic colors added.
- If deleted, it could be easily rebuild (derivative work) from the black & white version.
