We have several thousand images of NYC Subway entrances; this close-up without any location information is unlikely to have any use. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 01:03, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't remember uploading it, or why I uploaded it, but this is a strange reason for deletion. Are there any other images that are more or less identical? Deleting it won't save any server space. --ghouston (talk) 01:33, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It appears to have been part of a mass upload of photos by this author. See Category:New York City Subway entrances in Manhattan, which has many images like this and this that show the same signage with useful context - and have identified locations. Without location information or useful context, this image is out of scope, as it doesn't have any likely educational or historical value. We delete such images not to save server space, but to make it easier for users to find actually useful images in searches or when browsing through categories. Kept: acceptable. --Christian Ferrer (talk) 16:46, 19 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
