How Kristen Stewart Really Feels About Robert Pattinson's Engagement

Kristen Stewart is going to be just fine.

Yes, her former boyfriend, Robert Pattinson, is engaged to FKA twigs, a musician he started dating just six months ago – but in the two years since their relationship deteriorated, Stewart has found solace in working out of the spotlight that accompanied her high-profile relationship.

“Kristen is doing fine, working and traveling, and she will survive Robert s engagement,” a source tells PEOPLE. “She has her own life and has moved on.”

The Twilight co-stars officially called it quits in May 2013, nearly ten months after Stewart confessed to having a fling with her then-married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

“Kristen lives a much more low-key life now and seems happier,” the source added. “It was obvious that she was struggling with the media attention [during her relationship with Rob].”

The public nature of their breakup took its toll.

“She often acted frustrated and looked drained,” the source says. “Now she focuses on work, spends time with her friends and family.”

Since the split, Stewart has taken on a multitude of film projects, including Camp X-Ray and Still Alice last year, and upcoming films Anesthesia, Equals, American Ultra, an untitled Kelly Reichardt project, Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, and an untitled Woody Allen Project.

And all the hard work is paying off.

In February, Stewart accomplished something no other American actress has done before her – winning best supporting actress for her performance in Clouds of Sils Maria at the César Awards (the French equivalent of the Oscars).

“I’m having more fun now than I ever have,” Stewart told the Associated Press in a recent interview.

When asked if her Twilight days are far from her thoughts, she told AP, “Completely. I only have to think about that when someone asks me.”
