The opposite of the soulless franchise extension it could've been, A Quiet Place: Day One delivers a prequel that elevates the series to new heights.
If a thriller can make you hold your breath for fear of being eaten by aliens while you’re sitting in the multiplex, it’s working pretty well, and “A Quiet Place: Day One” appropriately kept me in a frozen state, afraid to so much as crinkle a page in my notebook.

A quiet place day one is a great suspense adventure that takes us to see with a different perspective what it was like to see the arrival of aliens in a big city where there is a huge concentration of noise unlike the countryside where we saw in the first two. This film deserves to be seen in the cinema and honors the saga

A Quiet Place: Day One, absolutely astonished theaters in 2024, the thrill of the movie was just as good as the acting. While people watch the movie and wonder how much effort was really put into it. They only then realize how much time people sacrificed for your entertainment. Overall, this was an amazing addition to the series and I would always recommend this to anybody.

While it shares plenty of DNA with the first two films, it has its own distinct character. It's a compelling and moving watch.

Not much of Sam and Eric’s journey is all that compelling, or even makes sense . . . but at least they’re nudged along by Sam’s emotional support cat, easily the cutest MVP (Most Valuable Pet) since Messi the dog from last year’s Anatomy of a Fall.
Day One never reaches the inspired heights of what came before, but Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn are compelling as strangers forced to work together in a devastated New York.
It is well made and well acted, with a fervent lead performance from Lupita Nyong’o.
A Quiet Place: Day One is about a cancer patient in hospice who hopes to die with dignity. Also, there are terrible monsters threatening humanity. What an odd idea for a horror prequel.
A Quiet Place Day One is an incredibly gripping and intense movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. The suspenseful storyline and brilliant performances make it a must-watch for fans of the horror genre. The attention to detail in creating a world where silence is survival is truly remarkable. Overall, A Quiet Place Day One is a thrilling and thought-provoking film that will leave you wanting more.

I came in wanting to like this and I enjoyed it enough. There just wasn't much new to get excited about. It's more like Week One vs Day One as all of the Day One stuff is mostly skipped over quickly. Also...that cat, is human-like with full awareness of what is happening vs acting like a real cat that meows, purrs, etc. Lost a point with just how unrealistic the cat was.

“A Quiet Place: Day One” was very basic but entertaining. When I say basic, I mean the whole move has a “been there, done that” feel to it. The film treads a lot of the same waters that the first 2 movie did and I think they might have been better off just making a threequel instead of a prequel. That aside, all the actors were excellent with Lupita Nyong'o delivering on a very compelling new hook for this film. I didn’t even know Joseph Quinn was in this movie but he was also excellent. But the best character in the whole movie was the cat! **** was holdin’ **** DOWN throughout!
6/10, the weakest movie in the series, but still acceptable for a suspense/horror film.

As a staunch movie fan, if you truly want to agitate me make a movie with overwhelming stupidity. To be entertain is the obvious goal, but why must out intelligence be insulted. The trailers truly **** me into wanting to see this as the premise was to answer why this was happening. I fell aslep several times during the movie which is totally not the norm for me. I feel like this movie Catfished me.
