Trump recording surfaces of very graphic comments about women

Donald Trump has been taking fire for months over the way he talks about women. But a newly unearthed October surprise recording arguably contains his most offensive statements yet.

The Washington Post obtained a video from 2005 of the Republican nominee for president using vulgar terms to describe chasing women during a conversation with Billy Bush of Access Hollywood. The duo were arriving on the set of Days of Our Lives for Trump to tape a guest appearance. Trump is apparently unaware his microphone is on (video below).

Speaking about an unnamed woman, Trump says: “I moved on her and I failed. I’ll admit it. I did try and f— her. She was married. And I moved on her very heavily. In fact, I took her out furniture shopping. She wanted to get some furniture. I said, ‘I’ll show you where they have some nice furniture.’ I moved on her like a bitch, but I couldn’t get there. And she was married. Then all of a sudden I see her, she’s now got the big phony tits and everything. She’s totally changed her look.”

Then the duo apparently spy Days of Our Lives actress Arianne Zucker, and Trump continued: “I’ve gotta use some tic tacs, just in case I start kissing her. You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the p—y. You can do anything.”

Trump quickly issued a rare apology for the recording, sending the following statement to EW: “This was locker room banter, a private conversation that took place many years ago. Bill Clinton has said far worse to me on the golf course – not even close. I apologize if anyone was offended.”

Bush — who just became co-host of the third hour of Today in August — makes some off-color supportive comments in the video as well. Access Hollywood did not return a request for comment, but said it would address the news during Friday’s show; representatives for TODAY were not immediately available. Bush, meanwhile, has apparently deleted his personal Twitter account.

Trump has repeatedly referenced Bill Clinton’s infidelity while campaigning against Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee for president, throughout election season. On Sunday, Hillary Clinton and Trump will face off for their second presidential debate and political observers have wondered whether he’ll make their marriage an issue in the debate — a topic he avoided during the first face off two weeks ago.

As always, it’s unclear if Trump’s latest statements will impact his campaign, which is currently trailing by several percentage points in aggregates of nationwide polls. Hillary Clinton’s campaign has used his previous comments about women in ads, and following the release of the video, her official Twitter account posted link to the Washington Post story, adding: “This is horrific. We cannot allow this man to become president.”
